Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat
Product Description
Chopped Strand Mat is a non-woven mat made from E-CR glass filaments, consisting of chopped fibers randomly and evenly orientated. The 50 mm length chopped fibers are coated with a silane coupling agent and are held together using an emulsion or powder binder. It is compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy and phenolic resins.
Chopped Strand Mat could be widely used in hand lay up, filament winding, compression molding and continuous laminating processes. Its end use markets includes infrastructure and constuction, autumotive and building, chemistry and chemical, marine, such as to produce boats, bath equipments, auto parts, chemical resistant pipes, tanks, cooling towers, different panels, building components and so on.

Chopped Strand Mat has excellents performance, such as uniform thickness, low fuzz during operation, no impurities, soft mat with ease of manual tearing apart, good application and defoaming, low resin consumption, fast wet-out and good wet-through in resins, high tensile strength using to produce large-area parts, good mechanical properties of parts.

Packaging
● The diameter of Chopped strand mat roll could be from 28cm to 60cm.
● The roll is rolled with a paper core which has an inside diameter of 76.2mm (3 inch) or 101.6mm (4 inch ).
● Each roll is wrapped up in plastic bag or filmand then packed in a cardboard box.
● The rolls are stacked vertically or horizontally on the pallets .
Storage
● Unless otherwise specified, the chopped strand mats should be stored in a cool, dry, water-proof area. It is recommended that the room temperature and humidity be always at 5℃-35℃ and 35%-80% respectively.
● The unit weight of Chopped Strand Mat ranges from 70g-1000g/m2. The roll width ranges from 100mm-3200mm .
